Fitting it In

1. I'll illustrate this with a picture of what I'm looking at, but you'll be disappointed. It's an empty plate (with a few tiny crumbs), a mostly-empty tiny mug, and a nearly empty water glass. And my work computer. Because I'm working from French Broad Chocolates today. Have I mentioned that life is good?

2. Life is good. It's weird for me, because people ask things like, "how's married life?" and if you know me very well, I'll admit, the answer to questions like that is usually tinged with negativity. But I have nothing negative to say about perfection (sure, it's got challenges, but that's part of what makes it perfect.

3. I think I'm suffering from spring allergies. In the middle of January. I'd like to complain about that, but more than that, I'd like to just work through it, and not let it stop me too much. My head hurts a lot for no apparent reason. I'm blaming the nearly-bloomed daffodils, the pink buds on the bushes in my front yard, and whatever else is filling up the air.

4. I'm totally embracing this year. Running, full-forced at all the possibilities. Pausing to ponder just enough to be reasonable-ish.

5. Okay, fine. I'll tell you what I just ate. A wonderful white chocolate French Macaron. Divine. And my old faithful favorite, Smoked Maple Sea Salt Liquid Truffle. This is the stuff that makes bad days bearable, and allergy-induced headaches more easily ignored. Well, this and downtown love. Have I mentioned that I love it downtown?

Carry on, then.
